OVERHEAD RAILS


    OVERHEAD RAILS are usually single rails (monorails) that hang from the ceiling moving the product attached or hanging from it by pulling a track, chain or trolley through a system of tracks and turns. They are an efficient and economic method to utilize areas above the floor. They are ideal for transporting parts through ovens, paint booths, or similar operations.

    ROLLER TURNS AND TRACTION WHEEL TURNS
  • Both types maintain chain and trolley alignment during horizontal changes in direction.
  • Roller Turns are available with a pitch radius up to 72 inches.
  • Traction Wheel Turns are available with a pitch diameter up to 72 inches.
  • Traction Wheel Turns are available in a spoke type or plate type.
    TAKE-UPS
  • Take-Ups remove slack in the chain.
  • Spring type, screw type, air cylinder type, and counter weight type take-ups are available.
  • 8 in., 16 in., or 24 in. travels and standard.
    DRIVES
  • Caterpillar Drives and Sprocket Drives are available.
  • Chain pulls available up to 3950 lbs.
  • Caterpillar Drives are available with fixed or floating frame.
    TRACK & ACCESSORIES
  • Anti-backup and anti-runaway safety devices.
  • 3 in., 4 in., or 6 in. I-beam track.
  • 228, 348, 458 or 678 chain.
  • Vertical curve track.

    TRACTION WHEEL HUB
    Traction Wheel Hubs are used with traction wheel turns. They are designed to be interchangeable with most other manufacturer's hubs. A version is available to operate in temperatures up to 750° F.

   
  • Available with tapered roller bearings or with metalized graphite bushing.
  • Safety plate prevents shaft and hub from falling through the base should the keeper plate be dislodged.
  • 8000 lbs. capacity.
